50 million Evernote passwords hacked

50 million accounts and passwords hacked in Evernote. This intrusion has led Evernote to reset passwords of users to ensure data security. So, if you are a user of Evernote, when you want to connect, you are prompted to create a new password. You must then change the password on all the applications that you use Evernote on your computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.

According to Evernote, hackers took over user data (email, password), but the contents have not been reached. In addition, passwords are encrypted therefore unusable against the email addresses are in the nature. The data have been kept safe, as well as payment information, for those who use a premium version.

Evernote was able to react in time to avoid a lot of problems but we recommend to be careful with passwords that we use, ie not the same for X services, words composed of letters + numbers + signs are more difficult to "crack ".
